Suddenly you leave. For ever. You take nothing with you.
You leave the house and all your belongings behind.

JIt takes years before someone enters the ruin. Slowly the house gives away its secrets; echo’s of domestic scenes from past years. But everything runs over and through each other, becomes too big or too small, too hard or too soft; amplified and transformed by the memory.

For the soundtrack Judith Nab recorded domestic sounds, upon which Jacob ter Veldhuis based his compositions.

In September 2010 the first house project took place: a short performance without any performers, in an old and abandoned house in the centre of Amersfoort (also see house-projects). This lead to Domestic Afairs II, a performance on abandoned houses only performed in a theatre.
